MISSION The mission of ATS Institute of Technology is to create and provide a high quality educational experience to each individual student seeking to establish a successful career. ATS provides services to ensure all students the maximum opportunity to complete their program of study. ACCREDITATION ATS Nursing Programs are approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and registered by the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (#97-10-1479T).
OVERVIEW ATS is a private college located in Highland Heights, Ohio. ATS began its LPN Nursing Program in June of 2004 and the ADN program opened in July of 2006. Since opening its nursing programs, ATS has admitted more than 500 students. ATS has served a diverse population from different backgrounds and communities. According to the ATS Annual Report for 2005-2006, the LPN program has a first-time passage rate of 89.8% for the NCLEX examination. ATS Nursing Programs are designed to meet healthcare needs in Greater Cleveland. Research demonstrates a critical shortage of nurses nationwide. Federal experts predict that by 2010, 623,000 registered nurse positions will be unfilled, and this represents a 27% increase from 2002. In addition, registered nursing is ranked as the number one occupation by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, with the largest job growth predicted for 2002-2012 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, Employment Outlook: 2002-12). Job openings are present in different types of health care agencies, including hospitals, ambulatory, community, and home-based settings. Measures to obtain nurses to fill vacancies include sign-on bonuses, flexible scheduling, and creating benefits. |
